Scout Trail Rides

Lilly took Scout on his first trail ride on the farm. And, he acted better than she did. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? Lilly freaked out at a little girl and her dog. Scout never even saw the girl. Lilly balked at the stream (which was dried up) and Scout shoved her over. I guess that's the born difference between a show horse and a trail horse. This week will be a mad rush to get things ready for the show. I have to excercise Cole, clean tack, pack tack, get my monkey suites together...not to mention clean and clip Cole (always a good time). I have my ear appointment on Thursday afternoon and then have to bolt back home to have Cole loaded and picking up another horse before we head to the show grounds. I'm remaining calm.

Dr. Phil is on. Gotta go.

Rach.

Dr. Phil?!

Definitely not a Christian...

He actually claims to be a Christian. I saw an interview on him the other day. Today was about moms trying to get their kids into show biz. SCARY!

so, for the record, it's safe to say that scout is the greatest horse of all time?

I'll agree with you when we see how he handles cows.

Actually, I was refering to you, shark bait. ;-) I know Dr. Phil isn't a Christian (and no, simply calling onself a Christian don't hack it ;-)

> "24" is not a Christian show.

Yeah, but it's pretty close (evidenced by the very fact that yours truly watches it religiously)! So there! HA!!!

P.S. Any second now your "Mama" will come in to set you straight since you are fully aware that I've "converted" your parents! Now if I could just get them onboard with the whole Jedi Baptist thingy...

Not an Opra fan... or Dr. Keith. I can't stand the "FEELINGS" shows. It makes me nervous.

Kimberly and Lauren are trying to convert me to the "Jedi Baptist" denomination...

Sniff. I'm so proud! Thanks for making my day, Carroll!

I think that's definitely a sign for me to start my own evangelistic program titled "The Way of the Jedi"

I love Ellen too. Well, I hope she never reads this, might take it wrong:) Anyway, her show is clean and she is hilarious....
Rach, I'm singing to you. "Feelings...Nothing more than feelings...lalalala..."

Yeah!! Ya'll like Ellen too. If she were a Christian I might elect her Pres. with Dr. Phil as VP!! ;)

Wow, you girls really like Dr. Phil huh? I've never actually watched him...
How did this blog, which started out about horses, actually end up about talk show hosts?

I think everyone is grateful and quite purposeful when talk strays away from equine gabbing. I mean, I can only take "[Insert crazy horse name here] tried to throw me for the 1,328 time. I whacked [insert crazy horse name here], put him/her in the barn and well ignore him/her for 26 days in the hopes that it will teach the stupid animal a lesson" so many times before I'm praying that the topic will stray to Taco Bell, weird marine life or Rachael's manly characteristics!

Rachael's What?? This girl is a Renaissance lady for sure. And I am completely objective. VJD

Rach is one of the most feminine people I know. What ARE you referring to, dear? Although...bugs in the ear canal are kinda manly...in a back to nature kinda way:)

I love Ellen too...

I agree with the very objective anon.(I know who you are)Rachael is a new breed of woman! I certainly would not use manly as an adjective for her!

I would use "smelly"

Lydia said...

Where are the pics from the show? How did you do?

Carroll said...

I wouldn't ask if I were you...

Oh...sorry.

I'm catching up blog by blog. After Shane Hartwig won the 2 yr old WC we brought Lethal Weapon home along with a bottle of "chill pills" He was one bad dude! Bred him to a huge black mare, Pleasure Principal, who was a sweetheart. hebrawner
