The Donkey Whisperer

(p.s.-pay no attention to the masked man)

Ok, so let me clarify: You give me an entire CD of photos. Then you give me instructions to never photoshop any of them and use them in embarrassing ways. And you expect me to follow your instructions? Well, I didn't do any photoshoping. This is an honest picture. I figured I had to put something really good up since I'll be gone the next couple of days. Cedar and Holly will need to be walked if anyone feels up to it. Yeah, me neither.

If anything good happens ya'll call me. I don't want to be left out.

Hippopotamic Land Mass

I had a great time last night. Movie night with the group is the greatest. I would just like to say that I hope every girl can find that special guy that would put her out if she got attacked by a flame spud, save her from the lightning sand, and defend her from a giant rodent even without the use of a glue trap. Ladies, he's out there somewhere. You might need a Giant and a Spaniard to find him...but he's out there. And when you do find him you can sing to him that oh-so-famous Storybook Love song from the movie. Here, I will remind you. It is Jesse's favorite and all:
Come my love, I'll tell you a tale
of a boy and girl and their love story
and how he loved her oh, so much,
and all the charms she did possess.

My love is like a storybook story.
But it's as real as the feelings I feel.
My love is like a storybook story.
But it's as real as the feelings I feel;
it's as real as the feelings I feel.

Now this did happen once upon a time
When things were not so complex.
And how he worshipped the ground she walked on.
When he looked in her eyes, he became obsessed.

This love was stronger than the powers so dark,
A prince could have within his keeping;
His spells to weave and steal a heart
Within her breast, but only sleeping.

He said, "Don't you know I love you oh, so much,
And lay my heart at the foot of your dress?"
She said, "Don't you know that storybook loves
Always have a happy ending?"

Then he swooped her up, just like in the books,
And on his stallion they rode away.
-Mark Knopfler
What? You don't like that song? Well, get your own then.

You Look Like A Monkey....

And you smell like one toooooo!
P.S.- Pay no attention to the floating spot above your right shoulder. It's perfectly normal.

Sleepy Rach

It's getting late and I'm really tired but I wanted to take a second to update my blog. Congratulations to J&B on their future having of a child. Hurry up 'cause I want to play with him/her right now. I'm so excited about being an aunt. I finally get to be crazy Aunt Rachael. For those few who came over the other night, I guess that'll teach you to watch a movie at my house. Everyone gets the soundtrack for Christmas. We're running out of childhood Rachael movies. I need some suggestions. I guess we can always go back to the Feature Family Films. I think if we combined all of ours we would have about 10 million.

I Almost Forgot

www.aaathemes.com/detail/Animals/A

FYI: Always check your bit before riding your horse. Especially if you plan on going fast. There is a remote possibility that while you are riding a horse through a field that when you pull back on the reins, fully expecting them to work, that your bit can snap in half causing a great deal of panic for you and your horse who doesn't understand why he is turning in circles while his rider is yelling for him to whoa. When you buy a bit, be prepared to spend some money. If you buy a cheap bit, take the money you saved and put it into an account designated for your hospital bills for when the bit breaks. This is a very personal topic considering the traumatic events experienced earlier this week.

A Distant Thunder

"Merciful Father, I have squandered my days with plans of many things. This was not among them. But at this moment, I beg only to live the next few minutes well. For all we ought to have thought, and have not thought; all we ought to have said, and have not said; all we ought to have done, and have not done; I pray thee God for forgiveness."

Funny (lookin') People

I know this girl who does strange things. This is one of the things that she does.

It got cold tonight. That made me miss the beach. Then I got over it cause I realized (as I drove past the horse complex) that cold weather means State Fair. And State Fair means horse shows, late nights, and lots of food. So, anyone who wants to come ride my horse and get him in shape...come on. Oh, and anyone who wants to work out for me...you can still come on. I have no energy. I suggest a college & career "go to the fair and eat lots of food but don't ride any rides so we don't get sick" night.

Moving Hearts

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psalm 9:9&10

The hurricane left a lot of people without hope. If you have been moved by the situation in the south, act on it. Now is a time for giving. Materials and prayers. Both are needed.
