Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming --WHEW-- What a Ride!!!" -Author unknown

Famous Last Words
"If the gator can jump it...I don't know why the horse can't!"
Well, ok then. Martha, Mike, Joy and I had a blast this past weekend when we loaded up the horses and went to John and Carroll's house for a Saturday trail ride. We had every intention of arriving early, tacking up, and being out on the trail before it got really hot. And, well, it was a noble attempt but 6 horses later we finally got on at the crack of....uh....noon. We were able to ride for several hours through beautiful pastures and woods (where Hannah and I will sneak to make our movie). We only had a few minor setbacks, three ravines to be exact. John said that there was only one. That's fine though. They were the funnest part. Mike realized the benefits of military training when he had to outrun the spotted horse who tried to squish him in the creek. Oh, and Martha has now entered physical therapy. But, we expect a full recovery. We had the most fun ever and can't wait to come back....if John can put his trailer back together after what Spice did to it. We are getting both of you t-shirts that say "I survived Spice and Ari." Hope you don't feel like this (click here) about us. Thanks for a great weekend!
P.S.-Joy, thanks for getting the bug out of my eye.

OK...you're SO not getting your hands on the pictures I took. But...I RODE A HORSE!
Ah yes, the silent tranquil trail upon our perfectly behaved steeds - not a thought in our mind as we galloped over the smooth terrain.....NOT!
Now that would have been boring :) Instead we got ravines, Bonanza music, bugs in the eyes, and spinning rodeo horses...Yee-Haw!
im pretty sure i said the gator could "crawl" 2 of the 3 "ravines", but who's counting. it's not like i have hired a lawyer who is currently planning to sue for defamation. i might be willing to settle out of court for a couple of non-psychotic horses. thanks anyway for a fun weekend, the truck and trailer are ready when you are.
Well John,
If you're looking for non-psychotic horses....you have come to the wrong place. I'm actually stunned that the horses went over at all. Ah, the power of 2 screaming girls with airborn helmets. We'll have to plan something soon.
John, they'll be happy to give you Noel - it was so sweet of you to ask :)
I am still in therapy!! It was worth it however!
